GENDER: MALE

Appearance

Vash is a young man of average height and build. He wears a red t-shirt with a star symbol on it on top of a black long sleeved shirt, jeans with a chain, and old torn up white sneakers. He has brown, unkempt hair with his bangs dyed red. Vash has brown eyes. He has two moles on his face, one under his eye and one near his lips. In addition, a fang peeks out from the corner of his mouth. He has necklaces and bracelets that he occasionally wears. Though not often because he keeps losing them.

Personality

Vash presents himself as an approachable person. Despite that though, he does not initiate or start interaction, usually only speaking when spoken to. He speaks fast and in casual conversation always has a kind expression on his face. When confronted with topics he doesn't want to talk about, he goes completely silent for a decent amount of time rather than lying because he hates dishonesty.Vash tends to giggle frequently no matter the situation. Because of this, it is difficult for others to tell how exactly he feels about some things. He avoids responsibility at all costs, often avoiding situations that require him to use his brain for things that are serious or important. This behaviour is a result of him not trusting himself and his upbringing in an illegal orphanage that had zero education for it's children.Beneath his casual persona, he is a very confused and emotional wreck. He prefers to avoid the hassle of opening up to people and takes out his stress on himself in various different ways. When faced with danger, he surrenders. This is because he sees no value in his life. But somehow he escapes every dangerous situation unscathed. He has difficulty forming true bonds with others. Most of the time he feels little to no emotional attachment. But that doesn't apply to people who he considers important. In those cases he deeply focuses on them and their feelings, but still has trouble to express himself properly and avoids serious or emotional conversations. As a child, he was very nosy and got into trouble at the orphanage a lot because he was always sneaking around. He spoke to everyone and tried befriending them aswell, usually failing. Overtime, the caretakers at the orphanage made him feel like he was useless to the world and he stopped talking to everyone except for a kid named Isaac.

History

Vash was born in a household where his parents fought all the time, usually physically. But they were very kind to him, with the downside that they were neglectful. One day his parents left him alone at a park. Believing he was abandoned, he went searching for them and got lost. After a long time walking, he stumbled upon an orphanage in a forest that forcibly took him in. But instead of stressing, he was filled with absolute joy and relief as the caretakers were not physical with eachother like his parents were. He did not feel homesick once the entire time he was there. In his early time at the orphanage, he was very nosy and curious, sneaking into areas he wasn't supposed to then getting yelled at for doing so. He never let that get to him.On one specific day his view on everything changed. One of the caretakers made him witness them burying another child, the burial was extremely sloppy and it left an impression on him. He began to believe that his life has little to no importance and that he would die a death like that too, without anyone who'll care or mourn him. After getting all these thoughts stuck in his head, he stopped speaking to everyone even if he was pressured. At some point a boy named Isaac Foster was dropped off at the orphanage. Vash felt a strange fascination towards him and decided to speak again, only to him. He tried to gain his trust by sneaking him food whenever he had the chance. Isaac rarely spoke. The very few times he did were usually one or two word responses. Vash didn't care about that, the first time he heard him speak was an unforgettable memory. It made him really happy.Overtime, Isaac became comfortable with Vash's presence and stayed close but still rarely spoke. Vash took this as a form of friendship and considers Isaac his first ever friend. This happiness was shattered when Isaac killed the orphanage caretakers. Vash witnessed the murder after checking out the loud laughing he was hearing. Isaac gave a look that signaled to Vash that they should escape together. Initially, vash agreed and went with him. However after a bit of walking Vash decided to go back. He couldn't help but feel like the orphanage was still his home. The last expression he saw on Isaac's face before turning around was a look of confusion, sadness and anger. The police find the orphanage one day and the murders become an investigation. Some of the kids get sent to another orphanage, some get sent back to their parents, some get adopted. Vash gets adopted after finding out his mother had died and that his father was incapable of taking care of any children. His new family did not care about him and were only keeping him for the money. Some days they wouldn't feed him and they were verbally abusive. But like back at the orphanage, Vash didn't let this get to him. In school he did decently well and had a few friends. But he never got too close with anyone and felt chronic emptiness. All the bad things that have happened to him up until this point slowly started hitting him hard, resulting in him skipping school and ghosting all of his friends. Eventually he drops out and no one ever reached out to ask why.One day, he started seeing more and more cases about a murderer covered in bandages. Vash only knew one person covered in bandages head to toe, Isaac. Vash had a very strong feeling that this was Isaac and started heading out at night to areas he thought a serial killer would go searching for victims, in hopes he'd reunite with Isaac. After a few months, his dream finally came true. He was walking in an alley one night and hears really creepy giggling. When he turns around he examines the person carefully, realizing it is Isaac. His attitude was very different to the quiet kid he used to know. Isaac, not recognizing Vash at first, threatened to kill Vash and gave him a few seconds to run. Vash burst out laughing as he was not expecting him to say that at all. Isaac stood there dumbfounded and confused at this reaction, Vash went up to him and told him to kill him. Now that he was up close, Isaac recognized Vash's eyes and giggle. He angrily pushes him to the ground, knife to his throat.Isaac had very conflicting feelings. He felt like he was abandoned by Vash after their last encounter years ago as kids. Vash found Isaac's total flip in behaviour very amusing and didn't resist at all, dying at the hands of his first friend didn't seem all that bad. Vash stated that he'd been searching for him ever since he heard about him on the news, instead of being in fear of the situation he was in, he was talking as if this was a normal conversation, which frustrated Isaac more. Isaac withdrew his knife and got up. He was about to walk away and vash stopped him, asking if he can come with him. This angered Isaac, who in their right mind wants to tag along with a killer?Isaac tried to ignore him and keep walking away, but Vash followed, forcing Isaac to answer, which he responded with a fat NO.After a lot of begging, Vash gave up and they both went separate ways. Vash didn't mind this, seeing his friend was enough. He had a feeling that they'd run into each other again anyway as long as the Isaac's murders stay in the area.Vash was right, they bump into eachother on multiple occasions. Vash started bringing a hunting knife with him whenever he went out at night. He wanted to understand Isaac and know what it was like to kill, maybe that would make Isaac accept him again. One night, Vash witnesses Isaac chasing a couple down an alley way to kill them. Vash takes this chance to kill one of them instead. Isaac notices the way Vash plunged the knife into the person was extremely smooth and he was impressed, slightly irritated his kill was stolen though. The despair on the face of the person Vash killed put Isaac in a good enough mood to be willing to have an actual conversation with him. They somewhat reconciled that night, Isaac still didn't completely understand why Vash left him alone all those years ago but he decided to let it go. Isaac let Vash follow him to the broken down house he sleeps in at night. He told him to call him Zack instead. Every night, Vash comes to visit him.One day, Zack disappears from the house, Vash is unable to find him.( the reason Zack is gone is because of the events of EP 0! Which is basically a prequel to the main story ^^ I haven't quite figured out how to incorporate my sona into the main story after that,.,,.. though I do have it that they'd sometime meet after the ending, since i stick with the theory that the ending wasn't a hallucination and Zack and Rachel were both alive, escaped, and THEN at some point he kills her... I don't think she'd get to meet Vash though. They only know eachother in the Yankee Gakuen and Café AU )
